Long Biography

I received my B.S. in Forest Biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 2000 and am currently pursuing a masters in Information Management in the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. Following 6 years of service in the U.S. Navy as an electronic equipment maintenance technician and reactor plant operator on a nuclear submarine and 2 years of experience as a computer support technician, I joined the Living SchoolBook as a Science Field Coordinator.

At the LSB I am the primary technical support coordinator for all Living SchoolBook projects and activities. I am responsible for the School of Education's instance of Sakai and OSP. I also have responsibility for the maintenance and accountability of many of the school's technical resources and serve as Instructional Technology Analyst and Project Manager in support of faculty, teachers, and students.

My current interests include:

• The implementation and development of learning management and portfolio systems which provide tools that encourage differentiated instruction and deepen the relationship between teachers and students.
• The IT role in Higher Ed and K12 systems.
