Bowling Green State University (BGSU) offers about 200 undergraduate majors and programs, as well as graduate programs. The school has some 21,000 students; 90% come from Ohio. BGSU consists of seven undergraduate colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education and Human Development, Health and Human Services, Musical Arts, Technology, and the regional BGSU Firelands in Huron, Ohio. Established in 1910 to educate teachers, BGSU has not strayed far from its original mission and is the fourteenth largest producer of teachers in the nation.

The largest public institution in Virginia, George Mason University is a doctoral extensive institution with three campuses in Northern Virginia and over 29,000 students.
